• Pulling to the right or left when stopping

When you bring your vehicle to Berkeley Bob’s for a brake inspection our ASE certified technicians will perform a comprehensive 4 wheel brake system inspection including a hand brake efficiency test and a hydroscopic analysis test of the brake fluid. 

At Berkeley Bob’s after we remove all 4 wheels we check the brake pads thickness and wear pattern, inspect front brake rotors and rear brake rotors for grooves, rust, hot spots and any other wear in addition to measuring their thickness. The brake calipers are inspected looking for loose or missing hardware then the brake hoses are examined for cracks, bubbles and leaks. Brake drums are pulled if required and thickness is measured noting any grooves or hot spots and other markings on the contact surface. Hand brake operation is evaluated. Brake fluid is hydroscopically analyzed and the reservoir is inspected for dirt or other contamination. 

We are able to diagnose and repair all problems with anti-lock braking systems including sensors and control unit issues. Any concerns are noted, estimated if repairs are needed and then reported to you for consideration. After you review and authorize, repairs will be completed on your vehicle and in most cases the car will be ready for you the same day.
